The number of teeth a baby and an adult have differed, an adult has thirty-two teeth while a baby has twenty. The importance of human teeth in a human body cannot be overlooked. Bacteria are available in human teeth so the teeth should be cleaned regularly. Some bacteria in the mouth are not bad while others are bad. Some bacteria aid in the digestion process. Closure of the mouth most of the times aids in the growth of bacteria in the mouth. Saliva in the mouth attracts bacteria to the mouth. Teeth and the spaces between them should be properly cleaned to remove these bacteria. Teeth are cleaned using toothbrush presently and other materials were used to clean them in the past.

Tooth body parts are protected against exposure by the tooth enamel. Tooth enamel is found on the outside of the tooth and it is very hard. The tooth enamel is very resilient and can withstand many things. The other parts of the tooth are soft and cannot withstand many contacts. The enamel protects the important soft tissues of the tooth. Teeth should be taken good care of since they don’t have spare parts.
